Geographic Information System use digital maps to show spatial relationships of data. We can show may types of data and relationships with digital maps. We were doing a lot of mapping back in the '90s for churches in several cities, but haven't had any funding for this since then.

Example Maps

These are dated. We're updating these, but have no funding to do much. Watch for some updates in January of this year.

These current maps are based on the annual Portland Police Bureau statistical reports. The maps below are for 1997 and show the metro area only. They do, however, show the value of mapping and map information for planning. They require the free Acrobat Reader. Each file is about 200K to download. In Portland crime is tracked by neighborhood, which is then reported to the public through the Police Department. The maps are only as accurate as the reported data to us. The maps show the data by neighborhood.
