Your Information is Protected
We do not sell, rent, or give any of the information you enter to this site (including your email address) to any organization with the single exception that orders placed with us using a credit card are encrypted and processed through a secure transaction site (PayPal).
We are a No-Spam Site
We STRONGLY discourage anyone using our email addresses for spamming. We consider spamming theft of our Internet channel, computer, and company resources. Spam often contains viruses, worms, and fraud.
About 99% of our spam is filtered at the server and never reaches us. What does reach us is entered to a database. This database is made publicity available for friends who enjoy hacking and launching denial-of-attacks; i.e., when spamming us you can't win. Spamming us launches a suicide attack on your own system or that of your host, causing you legal liabilities. Once you have spammed us and entered this database, a fee to remove your record is $200 U.S..
Spammers often (~66% of the time) hitchhike on innocent systems to do their dirty work. They plant a worm on the innocent system, then use that worm on your system to do their spamming. This compromises your system and can make your liable for the spam traffic. We STRONGLY discourage anyone from using the Internet for ANY purpose (including just surfing) unless you have both an antivirus and firewall installed; and both are dynamically updated with the latest information. Both are cheap compared with the cost of rebuilding your system after an attack or the legal liabilities involved when a spammer uses your system. Our suggestion is to use both hardware (router) and a software firewall, even if you have only a single system on your network.
If you are using a wireless network, be sure the network is encrypted. The more advanced WPA encryption is suggested.
If you go to Tech Support you can find how to access a free program that can detect spyware on your system and remove it. This is particularly useful for removing those spy programs that are sending marketing information back to certain companies about your web surfing, but is also useful for detecting worms that may be on your system. You will still need this in addition to the antivirus software and firewall.
We Go An Extra Step
Illegal spams we receive are often forwarded to the Federal Trade Commission by postal mail, the state attorney general for U.S. originated emails, the regional Better Business Bureau, and often to the Direct Marketing Association as well. We expect the FTC to take action as well as paying us a finder's fee. We consider spam as a terrorist act on our business. We vote out political leaders who can't take action to stop it and get this finder's fee going. If other businesses believed this and acted on it, we can stop the spam.
| For spam that succeeds in getting through the spam blockers at our hosts, we target the IP for killing. That is, we enter the IP and email address to a public database that is made available for hackers to use for denial of service attacks, trojan launching, and other fun stuff. This is a black list that is in public domain and available to anyone free. If you spammed us and wish to be removed from this list, the cost is $200 U.S. for the first entry and $100 for each additional database entry to OPM, 20020 Marigold Ct. #24, West Linn, OR 97068. At the request of the FTC, we do NOT notify you - that would be giving you our email address. We often DO notify the FTC for prosecution and other organizations. This effectively makes your IP and email address dead - you, your host, and no one else can use it. If you don't like this, notify the FTC to do their job so we don't have to do it for them. |
